The pictures here show some walls photographed recently (November 2008) in Scotland.  Some are new, others many hundreds of years old and still standing.

Stone has the ability to make the most amazing creations.  Perhaps these pictures will stir your imagination for that very special and unique Garden Feature that will be the admiration of your friends.

In fact, the technique was developed many centuries ago in England and Scotland where farmers cleared the fields of vast quantities of rock and built endless dry stone walls to define their fields and retain their livestock.
